TEST TRANSPARENT GIF Captain Del Stephens, a.k.a. "Tuna Dog"

Many believe that Captain Del Stephens, aka "Tuna Dog," was born with fins, not hands. He's been an avid angler since he was old enough to handle a fishing rod. His love for fishing and boating continues to grow deeper with every day he spends on the water.

Del's angling obsessions began on the high lakes of Oregon's Cascade mountain range stalking monster lake trout mackinaw and kokanee. It was here the brilliant colors of the early morning sunrise enlightened his uncompromising love of the outdoors and the challenge of outsmarting the most elusive fish below.

From his home in Portland, Oregon, his journeys have expanded to fisheries throughout the West and around the world. He‘s caught marlin, dorado and roosterfish in Mexico, chased sailfish and tarpon in Costa Rica and landed giant sea run trout in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. While the waters of the Willamette and the Columbia River lure Del frequently, it's the offshore waters of the Pacific that have emerged as Del's greatest passion. Only the weather will stop him from running offshore during the late spring and summer, in search of tuna, salmon and halibut.

Del's easy going attitude, natural fishing abilities and love for the sport create an environment for him to share his knowledge with others. Nothing compares to the thrill of hooking your own fish. As an extremely "hands on" guide and mentor, he'll patiently teach you the most successful tricks and techniques so you can do it yourself. From downriggers and outriggers, to deep water jigging and trolling, he can show you all the tricks these fun and exciting fisheries have to offer.

Del captains BAD-TO-THE-BONE, a 33' Hydra Sport equipped with the latest state-of-the-art electronics for chart mapping, radar and fish finding. He holds a Coast Guard 50-ton masters license. Nothing is spared when safety is an issue, Del will put you at ease with his constant attention to ocean conditions.

As a Pro-Staff angler for Diawa, Fish Trap Lures, Gamakatsu, Scotty Downriggers, Terrafin and Ballyhood, Del Stephens also maintains affiliations with Lamiglas, Mustang Survival, Hotfish.com, Berkely 7 Strand, Garmin, TR-1 and Yamaha. You can expect to find only the best tackle and equipment on board. Del Stephens has been featured in Sport Fishing Magazine, Western Outdoors Magazine, Outdoor Life Magazine, Northwest Sportmans Magazine and on nationally broadcast television and radio programs including Americas Outdoor Journal, GPS Outdoors, Northwest Wild Country, ESPN Outdoors and ESPN Outdoor Line.
